The company’s Architecture & Construction (A&C) division wanted a project document file collaboration system for all teams working on the design and construction of their properties, worldwide. They had implemented the Autodesk/Buzzsaw platform for enterprise-level solutions and many of their users were familiar with it. The problem was, it was branded as Autodesk, and had a clunky user interface compared to other company systems.
They asked HingePoint to find a way to brand Buzzsaw and make it user friendly. User adoption was the #1 goal for success and ROI. If users abandoned it, the entire platform could be a failure, so the solution had to be easy to use and valuable to users.
HingePoint came alongside this worldwide enterprise to create custom, branded user interfaces to Buzzsaw that gave users a more “hospitality” and “service” oriented context and experience. In addition, we created branded, custom interfaces inside Buzzsaw, catered exactly to the roles and entities the user has access to. This greatly simplified Buzzsaw complexity, giving users an interface that had just the information they needed; nothing more, nothing less. It hid all the details and information in the systems that didn’t pertain to them. This branded, simplified and enhanced the entire user experience with Buzzsaw. User adoption was rapid and over 3000 users signed on in the first year, to manage over 1500 construction projects across 30 brands.
This unique solution is still the industry leading best Buzzsaw solution in production, has been benchmarked by the Autodesk Technology Council numerous times, and featured twice at Autodesk U.
