[post_content] => Procore customers can now automatically integrate documents between Microsoft Office365 Teams and Procore. The latest product from Microsoft, Teams, is the collaboration work hub on Office365 that includes communications for calls, chat and online meetings as well as documents that is widely adopted by the business community. To better serve the needs of the construction industry, HingePoint is expanding Procore SharePoint 2 Way Sync solution to work seamlessly with MS Teams. Now all your documents in SharePoint, OneDrive, MS Teams will be fully synchronized with Procore on all devices from the browser, mobile, apps and desktop tools. HingePoint will make the release public in December 2018 in the Procore App Marketplace.

SharePoint Two-Way Sync shares and mirrors files, folders and documents in both SharePoint and Procore libraries through a connector created by HingePoint, a Dallas-based company. The connector is built on the Microsoft cloud platform Azure and integrates SharePoint as the backbone of Digital Business Hubs that keep companies fully integrated with data, documents, and workflows to streamline construction and real estate development businesses.

This big development will allow companies more efficient ways of working, ensuring that new systems will not create more complexity or fracture the company’s enterprise ability to collaborate. Now construction companies can leverage the best of what both Microsoft and Procore offer by keeping all of their documents synchronized across all systems and devices. These systems talking to each other is the solution that clients are looking for when field teams struggle to collaborate with clients and contractors and keep all their information up to date and shared across all subcontractors.

“This is not a simple connector product app, it’s an actual real-time API integration that lets MS Teams, SharePoint and Procore libraries mirror one another while having the security of both systems. This expands our solutions for the construction industry” HingePoint Managing Director Bryce Finnerty said.

HingePoint is offering a pricing model that will allow clients to license a turn-key solution that can be set up in a few hours. A solution that our clients can host in their own Azure environment scale to 100’s of projects across the enterprise will be key going forward.

A growing number of construction companies use MS Teams and SharePoint as their system of record to store important data about employees, contracts and project analytics. This connector eliminates multiple repositories of documents in both Procore and SharePoint and connects the construction unit to the rest of the company.

The new integration HingePoint provides for Procore reflects each organization’s commitment to openness and building out the construction technology ecosystem. What we call Digital Business Hubs, with the new connector, companies can automatically and securely sync files between Procore, MS Teams and SharePoint or Office 365, which will save time and confusion when managing project documents.

Digital Business Hubs creates better collaboration with the teams that are not in the construction space.

"We're excited for HingePoint to expand their integration to the MS Teams platform, once launched on the App Marketplace this will provide tangible new value to Procore users." said Doug Gibson, Business Development Manager at Procore. "This new solution for MS Teams is a testament to HingePoint's commitment to the construction industry and value of the Procore App Marketplace."

HingePoint integrates software so data can move from one system to another. They specialize in building custom tools that detect and collect data project and financial data, so a business can get control of their business.

[post_content] => HSBCAD showcased augmented reality software for the HoloLens—Microsoft’s VR headset—at Autodesk University this year, which lets architects expand and walk through actual 3D models.

Although the software is not for sale, HSBCAD is hoping to eventually find value and sell it in the market, HSBCAD Owner Karel Vinckier said.

“Every chance that we have to try out new technologies we grab it with both hands,” he said.

The HoloLens has only been available to developers for a few months, but already HSBCAD has working software for the newest trend in the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industry.

As the AEC industry gradually marches towards augmented and virtual reality, the software demo shows the robust capability of HSBCAD, said Bryce Finnerty, CEO and Founder of HingePoint.

“I personally think HSBCAD is one of the greatest innovators in the CAD to CAM space and defiantly the leader in wood timber for CAD to CAM,” Finnerty said. “They are so advanced technologically, they just tinker with the augmented reality and HoloLens and they just do it for fun.”

HSBCAD is a leader in migrating companies from Computer Aided Design to Computer aided Manufacturing. They are an AutoCAD and Revit provider of applications for the offsite construction industry.

They translate architectural drawings to files that machines can read to cut and drill beams, cut sheeting, and then assemble all the elements automatically.

The Belgium based company just released a cloud application called hsbShare.

“hsbShare allows collaboration by focusing on all the metadata that is not in the drawing,” said Kris Riemslagh, Co Founder and Software Architect HSBCAD.

This includes information like schedules, delivery dates, and tracking issues. This is information that is created during the building process, and hsbShare manages that information and makes it available to all stakeholders.

“You can upload your model to the cloud and you can enhance it with all sorts of metadata and make the link between the metadata and the 3D object,” Vinckier said.

[post_content] => I’m calling 2018 the year of cloud, mobile, and analytics for the construction and real estate industry.

Why? Because of the great potential, these technologies offer to help our clients grow profitably.

Do you agree? Are they a part of your company’s 2018 plans?

The good news is these capabilities are widely accessible. But in this construction boom (at least in Texas and Dallas, where we are from), we find that most construction and real estate firms are riding the wave; they have tons of work, are wildly successful, and even flush with cash.

When I speak to CEOs, however, they face 3 main problems.

Do any of these apply to you?
  1. You're growing so fast you don’t have time to focus on technology. Let me guess: you're growing so fast you don’t have time to focus on technology tools? And you fear your competitors are getting ahead in construction tech?
  2. You're successful, but you know you're inefficient. You're probably aware that if your business automated all the wasteful busywork and you had great cloud, mobile, and analytics, you could scale faster with greater profit? In other words, you're leaving money on the table!
  3. Super Hero employees are saving the day. Your employees are overwhelmed with the fast pace, and it takes heroics to keep your business running. You're vulnerable to employee burn out, them jumping to competitors, or you're having trouble attracting young talent that want (and expect) mobile tools like they use for everything (everything but your company).
If you have not seen all the amazing technology trends in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry, see our free AEC 4.0 Report for a quick summary and easy read. To help, HingePoint accomplishes its Purpose by helping people transform and grow to make life better. How? By offering cloud, mobile, and analytics applications for construction and real estate that are easy to adopt and that employees love. We believe people can transform, grow, and make life better. We believe problems are there to help us grow and find a better way. It's the "HingePoint Way," and 2018 is all about getting our solutions to market to help as many people as possible (helping by offering affordable, easy to adopt tools that employees love). That is our growth strategy! So here is what’s coming… The Pivot We are transforming our solutions into over 45 applications "Apps" that we can rapidly deploy to you so that your employees will be way more productive and happy. Prior to this, we’ve been a custom application development firm. If you have complex issues, sure, we’ll customize it to your business, but there are so many best practice solutions we create over and over again for clients. So, now our clients can jump to the top of the competitive ladder using our apps. What Kind of Construction Apps?
  1. Sales and Estimating – it’s all about top-line revenue, right? We have tools that automate the work and reporting for development pipelines, deal-flow, and construction bidding and estimating.
  2. Project Dashboards – if all work is broken into projects, you'd better know the status of all your projects (it's your life-blood). We have tons of tools to manage construction projects, share documents, manage tasks, and stay in scope, on schedule, and in budget, keeping you profitable!
  3. Financials – it’s all about the money, right? Automate reports of forecast vs. actual budgets, and hold the line on profit by staying on top of all and any issues impacting your bottom line.
New Pricing We are moving to a Software as a Service (SaaS) pricing model that will be so great for our clients. Low monthly payments that are super affordable, with a guaranteed huge 4X ROI. Why are we doing this? 2 reasons:
  1. It puts our money where our mouth is. We actually lose money in the short run! But, we are so confident that you will get results.  We're betting on ourselves that our Partners (our #1 core value - you) will work with us in the long run.
  2. We want to make it very easy and low risk to try out our new solutions.
New Website To execute on this new strategy, we need to redo our website, which accounts for over 60% of our leads and sales. You may have found us online when we first met. Look for an all-new, lightning fast HingePoint.com that's to the point and easy to navigate, so you can find exactly what you're looking for. Partners Procore In 2018, we decided to invest in some of our best partners. So, we are sponsoring the Procore Ground Break 2018 conference in Austin, November 13-15, 2018. Building on our new super-successful Procore SharePoint 2-way Synch App (sold in the Procore marketplace here), we plan new Procore apps for 2018. What would you like to see? Tell us! Great Game of Business (GGOB) We are also sponsoring the Great Game of Business conference in Dallas, TX on September 5-7, 2018. We love GGOB because we play the game with our performance-driven scorecard approach at HingePoint. We also use open-book management (OBM), teaching all HingePointers how to help drive growth and profit in their groups. That, plus our financial dashboard solutions are perfect to help open-book companies generate even more cash and profit by automating the busywork associated with financial reporting. People and Culture As we grow our company as a whole, we also plan to roll out new growth plans for our employees, including bonus plans, that will help every employee have an “owner” mentality, where they benefit from the contributions they make. Know any good candidates that would like our culture? Send them to our careers page here. We are always looking for the next generation HingePointer to help us scale and grow! What Do YOU Think? What else should we do? How should we do it? What feedback do you have? Tell me your thoughts! We are doing all of this for you, so if you need anything at all, don’t hesitate to reach out to us and I will speak to you directly and listen to your ideas. It would be my privilege. Sincerely, Bryce Finnerty HingePoint, CEO and Founder ---

How was your 2017? In this article, I thought I’d share our experience of what worked and what didn’t! My hope is that some of these ideas will benefit your company, career, and projects. Our purpose at HingePoint is to guide people through technology transformations so that they can grow and make life better. Hopefully, one of these examples will help make your life better. What Worked?
  1. We implemented the 4 Disciplines of Execution (book). The main idea we adopted is having 1 "Wildly Important Goal" (WIG) per quarter. Prior to that, we had 4 elements of our strategy (or what Gazelles and EO call the 4 decisions every business must make): Strategy, Execution, People, and Cash. Instead, we made only 1 WIG per quarter and the entire company focused on that.
  2. For every WIG, you accomplish it by winning the minimum number of strategic "Battles," or "Rocks." Each employee takes a piece of the Rock, and we make those our personal quarterly goals. These are backed by weekly scorecard reporting to stay focused, accountable, and on track. This is our “performance framework” to help every win at the game of work!
  3. Mentors – I joined Biz Owners Ed, a group of fast-growth entrepreneurs being mentored by serial entrepreneurs, led by Jay Rodgers. These mentors taught me how to create real value for owners, employees, and customers, and how to scale and grow profitably.
  4. Q1 2017 Goal – Define exactly what we are experts in and what we sell. I had received criticism (not a bad thing!) from my mentors that it was confusing what HingePoint does and what exactly we sell. So, we created solutions and packages and rolled it out across the website and marketing collateral.
  5. Q2 2017 Goal – Create HingePoint 2.0! As systems thinkers, a company can scale and grow with strong systems, processes, and automation. So, we moved all our systems to SharePoint and Office365 and created tools, templates, checklists, and dashboards for all our processes from Marketing, Sales, Strategy, Execution, Finance, and HR. Boom! 100% cloud, mobile, and analytics across the enterprise!
  6. Q3 2017 Goal – Alignment. We added a new 5th decision to our strategy: alignment with industry software products and systems thinkers. We added Procore (the world’s largest construction cloud operation system) as an integration partner and created a product for the Procore marketplace that integrates Procore with SharePoint document management. It has been our single largest source of leads and new clients since the launch on September 24th, 2017.
  7. Q4 2017 Goal – HingePoint 3.0! We took our platform to the next level and for productivity, optimization, and scorecard analytics, we took our internal tools up a notch. We built out “sandboxes” for over 20 of our solutions and products, which are the ingredients for our 2018 strategy to scale and grow with software as a service solutions (SaaS). (Read my next article on 2018!) We now have well-defined solutions for construction; from sales and estimating, to project management and collaboration, and financial dashboards. Working at HingePoint, you truly have all the tools you need to excel at work and to strike a good work-life balance (since we are 100% mobile friendly and you can work from anywhere, on any device).
(See our 2016 article on what we tried in 2016) What Didn’t Work in 2017?
  1. We implemented a strength survey tool called "Culture Index." Every job has an ideal strength profile, which we use to get the right people in the right seats on the bus (see Jim Collins' book Good to Great). Basically, you hire by the “dots” or your profile. The problem? Some people didn’t have the right strengths and are no longer with the firm. We thank them for their service and pray they find a career where their strengths can flourish.
  2. Rocks and Battles not always were won in a decisive battle. For example, in Q3, we had a Rock to write a book! After creating a draft of over 20 chapters (many of the ideas we blog about), I never did finish the book! I shelved the project temporarily. I guess writing 100 blog articles, free eBooks, and technical papers a year has me finding it hard to write just 1 book!
  3. Videos – We are honestly struggling to get high quality, affordable video content to help our clients and prospects have a better understanding of how we can help them with what we offer. If you want to help us with this please, step up and email Contactus@hingepoint.com.
I Challenge to You! Are You Still Reading? Are any of these ideas interesting? Want to learn more? Email Contactus@hingepoint.com and ask for Bryce. I’d be glad to share more detail and hear what your plans are for 2018. And if you want to transform your company, team, or career, let us know how we can help (that is what we do and we love doing it)! Our "Why" is our deep passion and belief that people and companies can transform, grow, and make life better. Those problems are how we grow and find a better way. Do you believe what we believe? I’d love to meet with you and interview you for a future blog article on transformative leaders. Email Contactus@hingepoint.com. ---

So, everything is great, right? As CEO I must be satisfied, right? The fact is, I’m not satisfied. And I must confess that I’m not content on many days because our mission is not complete. HingePoint’s mission statement is: "to be the best in Texas at providing cloud and mobile solutions to the construction and commercial real estate industry that employees love." So, I realized, satisfaction isn’t the goal at all! I had it all wrong. It isn’t about the destination, it's about the journey. But then I realized (with a little help from a great sermon I heard on New Year's Eve) that I am grateful, extremely grateful, for all those that have journeyed along with me over the years. I want to publicly thank them and tell you who they are. They're all too humble to take this credit themselves, so I’m going to give them the credit they deserve. Here is my list of who I’m grateful for:
  1. My mentor at CEO Institute, Lane Kramer, who runs a peer mentoring group for Christian CEOs helped me see the truth in life: the real secret to success is to be aware of and grateful for all you have. And I have so much! My #1 goal in 2018 is to be grateful for the tests and trials, for we know that is how we grow. At HingePoint, our Purpose is: "to transform and grow people so that they can reach their full potential and make life better." Thanks to Lane for helping me grow... and he has certainly made my life better.
  2. Family – my wife and 3 daughters. Without them, I’d be a grumpy old man with no life! Thanks for the greatest satisfaction in life being your husband, Lisa, and your father, Tess, Brooke, and Lauren.
  3. Pastor Dennis Tollison is in my small group at church. He is wise and prays for HingePoint and our team all the time. We have gone on over 10 international mission trips together over the years, and they are some of the biggest highlights of my life. Thanks Dennis for helping me find my purpose.
  4. The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO Dallas) – for the structure and teaching of powerful business tools that have helped HingePoint grow. Specifically, to Alex Vantarakis of the Vant Group and Tim Danley who have been my EO mentors. Also, to my EO forum group (remaining anonymous, but you know who you are)! Thanks for welcoming me into your lives.
  5. BizOwnerEdJay Rodgers and all the mentors that have helped me, like David Hammer, Fergus Reynolds, and Tom Niesen. They are teaching me how to be a serial entrepreneur and help others by creating jobs!
  6. Boldmore Growth PartnersWade Myers and Gene Blanton for helping grow HingePoint with their wisdom and experience so we can reach our full potential and serve God in the process!
  7. My key leaders at HingePointBrendan Desjardins, Jacob Steele, Dylan Seelie, Brad, Ed, Kevin, Carl and Sadiq – I believe in you! Thanks for all you do for our clients and the sacrifices you make for HingePoint.
  8. Those that influenced us and gave us your knowledge, like Jack Stack and the Great Game of Business (GGOB), Paul Akers of 2 Second Lean, Vern Harnish of the Rockefeller Habits, and Author Jim Collins, whose book Good to Great is our rallying call for leaders that want to win! Also, Mark Winters and his Traction framework we borrow from, Culture Index and the leaders Jason Williford and Mark Bowlin that help us get the right people on the bus! And, Rick Betenbough and Kingdom at Work for authentic leadership that loves people.
  9. Disciple Maker, Dick Casper – Thanks for investing in me all this time and never giving up on me. For modeling leadership, how to build others up (never yourself), and sharing the truth and love of Christ always. My children at a young age couldn’t remember your name, but you know what they called you? “The God man” and “…he’s the one that loves us”. That says it all! Love overflows from you to the world and we are so grateful for you.
Will there be many trials and challenges ahead? Yes, I’m sure there will be many. But no matter what challenges lie ahead, I know they are meant for good and are there to help us all grow. I’m thankful for that. Sincerely, Bryce Finnerty HingePoint, CEO and Founder ---

The Great Game of Business is designed to show how an open-book management system is used to build rapid financial results and company culture. The full-day workshop kicked off with a keynote by Michael Kiolbassa, president of Kiolbassa Smoked Meats. Kiolbassa implemented The Great Game process in 2014 to save the family business that was struggling to make a profit. In fact, at one point in August and September of 2013, they “lost more money in two months than we made in most years we had been in business”.  Now, just three years after adopting The Great Game Process, Michael's company is thriving and on track to hit a target of $100 million in revenue by 2019! The keynote was followed by an on-site visit to the Kiolbassa factory, where we sat in on a live "Huddle" to see Great Game practices first-hand, and a Q&A with employee practitioners. The last part of the workshop was the interactive session, where the teams competed in the coveted "Mini Game challenge" and put the days’ worth of professional development and learning into action. Teams were challenged with building a short-term activity designed to correct a weakness or pursue an opportunity in the company. The requirement was to have an end goal with a time-frame, scoreboard, and reward for winning. HingePoint’s game was named “A Steak in the Outcome” with the reward being a steak dinner for the team at Ruth’s Chris if the criteria are met. The competition was very tight, making a difficult decision for the judges. After a lengthy deliberation, the results were announced, awarding HingePoint the victor!

“Knowing there are only a handful of businesses that get the opportunity to participate in this event every year makes you feel honored to be in attendance and learn with so many other intelligent professionals. The fact that HingePoint captured 1st place in the [Mini Game] challenge was a truly unforgettable experience.”

-HingePoint Marketing Consultant, Jacob Steele

By the end of the day, the HingePoint team left with the knowledge of how to get started with open-book management and unique skills to continue pushing HingePoint forward in the years to come!

Ignite is Microsoft’s premier event with more than 30,000 participants in Orlando, Florida. At HingePoint, we saw several trends emerging that are either going to disrupt or help business. Some of these are obvious, some are not. But the bottom line is that Microsoft has made an already amazing enterprise platform to communicate with SharePoint and Office 365 even better. Microsoft, Microsoft Ignite, Microsoft Teams, Mixed-use Reality, Artificial Intelligence, HingePoint, SharePoint

Artificial Intelligence

Microsoft makes Artificial Intelligence look like one of the greatest helpers to humanity. A hint of the scary-technology stigma that creates things like the robots in The Matrix was squashed. (Not sure what Elon Musk was referring to.)

Microsoft is working to deepen it’s artificial intelligence based solutions. For example, the keynote was being live streamed across the world, and artificial intelligence was translating the keynote in 12 languages simultaneously and instantly.

At the event, Microsoft had a station with facial recognition technology. Artificial intelligence could determine if you were happy, sad, angry, scared, in additional to several other emotions. It can also determine your age fairly accurately (It determined this writer is 40 years of age. It was way off… I’m almost 38; let’s keep it the 30s Artificial Intelligence!)

Artificial intelligence will also be used to communicate. According to Microsoft: “Organizations can now create and deliver rich conversational support solutions across multiple channels and improve support team productivity thanks to intelligent customer-facing virtual assistants that support live agents and conversation management.”

Mixed Reality

Microsoft is going after mixed-use reality to increase collaboration. It’s where virtual reality, augmented reality and holograms are added into an immersive and often physical work environment.

Ford is using Microsoft’s mixed-use reality to design cars. Before car companies would make huge clay models to review their designs. Take bumpers. Designers would physically change the bumpers so engineering and designer can approve a new model.

Now, Ford designers and engineers can put on a virtual reality headset like Hololens, and see digital models. They can interchange multiple bumper models.

Enabling the Digital Transformation

To enable the digital transformation, Microsoft works in four key areas: empowering employees, engaging customers, optimizing operations and transforming products.

At HingePoint, we still see small businesses working exclusively in Outlook, Excel, PDFs and not optimal versions of SharePoint. They have not reached the digital transformation Microsoft hopes. These companies are having problems where CEOs cannot see the whole picture about their business, and fear prevails of under-utilizing employees and making major financial mistakes.

This is what Microsoft hopes the digital transformation alleviates.

Moving You to the Cloud

Microsoft is determined to move you to the cloud. So much so they have a team of trusted partners to help your company migrate to the cloud. Called FastTrack, the Microsoft teams are designed to help IT professionals and partners get the tools, resources, and guidance needed to move to Microsoft 365, Azure, and Dynamics 365. “FastTrack can provide you with personalized assistance at any time, as long as your subscription is active.”

Microsoft, Microsoft Ignite, Microsoft Teams, Mixed-use Reality, Artificial Intelligence, HingePoint, SharePoint

Microsoft Teams

If you ever thought Microsoft was lacking in ability or coolness, you should probably think and look again. Teams just leapfrogged Microsoft into one of the coolest, practical platforms an enterprise-style business can use while being confident of security and ease of use.

Microsoft Teams allows you to bring together conversations and content in a single app. Basically, anything you want can be accessed in Teams. The basic principle is to have one place for all communication needed internally and externally when working with a team.

The best way to learn about it is to try it. Give it a whirl here.

Microsoft is sophisticated.

If you’re a small business and want to go on the road to digital transformation, Microsoft tools can get you there. But technology is limited in what it can do for you.

The only piece to the puzzle that is really missing is the ability to find and collect the data you need to make great decisions about your business. If you are having trouble seeing the whole picture of your business in a timely manner or asking questions with no answer, technology is not going to solve your woes.

You need a data management strategy. You need a HingePoint. You can read our free ebook that is completely online to learn how to get a better data-management strategy.

Managing Data with SharePoint Will Transform Your Business

Are you managing your entire company from a spreadsheet? How are you going to grow with those document management tools? Does your SharePoint work the way you want it to? Employees will be more efficient, you'll have better access to your company's data, and you'll be able to better report on key metrics. HingePoint’s custom SharePoint solutions have helped many companies struggling with unorganized data and manual, multi-step processes. Business Intelligence in the age of artificial intelligence

Business intelligence -- which is the ability to make better decisions on real-time, visual data -- will be the reason for the next renaissance. The last renaissance was after the printing press revolutionized humanity by causing literacy to increase after its invention in the 1440s. But literacy didn't actually skyrocket until the Industrial Revolution made literacy economically valuable. Instruction manuals for machines became important to read during the Industrial Revolution. Books were cheaper and more subjects were available. Kamal Hathi, a general manager at Microsoft, said spreadsheets were the printing press of data literacy. But artificial intelligence will make data literacy skyrocket like the industrial revolution made literacy skyrocket. Artificial intelligence will remove the need to understand statistics and code because it will automatically find interesting trends and outliers for users. Business intelligence and artificial intelligence will democratize data so it will be available to everyone, not just data scientists.
Cool Stuff We Learned about Power BI at Microsoft Ignite Power BI now has the ability to turn on forecasting, see trends, and automatically see clusters with one click. Go to analysis tab and click add forecast and it automatically and immediately adds a forecast. No statistics or coding is required. Now Power BI has the ability to show drive times and demographic data by merging existing information with Geospatial data by Esri. Companies can also publish and share Power BI reports from local servers, instead of using it through the web. That’s good for organizations that don’t want or can’t put certain data in the cloud, but they can still get the Power BI functionality.

During Microsoft’s technology keynote at Ignite, it was clear that Microsoft is breaking down the development workflows to be both desktop and cloud integrated with Azure. For example, Microsoft unveiled an integrated management portal that lets you see your whole infrastructure. It means you can see all the servers that are part of the data center, including the ones that are in the cloud and the ones on-premise on the same screen. Azure also lets you insert and create code snippets right into your app.  Simple right-click options will automatically insert the code into your app. If you need specific functionality you can just right click and get a block of code. Azure Functions is a great solution for processing data, integrating systems, working with the internet-of-things (IoT), and building simple APIs and microservices. Here are some examples of functions:
  • HTTPTrigger - Trigger the execution of your code by using an HTTP request. For an example, see Create your first function.
  • TimerTrigger - Execute cleanup or other batch tasks on a predefined schedule. For an example, see Create a function triggered by a timer.
  • GitHub webhook - Respond to events that occur in your GitHub repositories. For an example, see Create a function triggered by a GitHub webhook.
The robust Azure stack allows cloud functionality to work on your server that is not connected to the Internet. For example, a ship out at sea that does not have the Internet will still have the same functionality as if they are connected to the cloud. You can also develop mobile apps and immediately see the code you're working on. You can sync it with your mobile device and see it live so you can debug. Microsoft is releasing SQL Server 2017, which has standard performance gains and it runs on Windows Linux. It allows SQL to be used consistently across the cloud and in your personal server to create hybrid environments. Now developers can use R, Python, and Ruby directly in SQL servers, allowing a variety of languages to interact with the server.

SharePoint Two-Way API Integration Brings Microsoft’s Enterprise-Grade Document Libraries Right into Procore

Procore customers can now automatically update SharePoint and Procore libraries simultaneously with a new SharePoint Two-Way Sync integration and connector, built on Procore Construction OS and is available in the App Marketplace. SharePoint Two-Way Sync shares and mirrors files and documents in both SharePoint and Procore libraries through a new connector created by HingePoint, a Dallas-based company that integrates and architects SharePoint for better data management. The SharePoint Two-Way Sync brings Microsoft’s enterprise-grade document libraries right into Procore, with two-way, real-time sync of folders and documents. When a folder is updated in SharePoint, it updates in Procore. If a file is deleted in Procore, it is deleted in SharePoint. “This is not an embedded form that anyone can access, it's an actual API integration that lets SharePoint and Procore libraries mirror one another while having the security of both systems," HingePoint CEO and Founder Bryce Finnerty said. “If you are a user with rights to a Procore project and you’re a SharePoint user with rights to a document library, you can access the synced files." A growing number of construction companies use SharePoint as their system of record to store important data about employees, contracts and project status. This connector eliminates multiple repositories of documents in both Procore and SharePoint and connects the construction unit to the rest of the company. The new integration HingePoint provides for Procore reflects each organization’s commitment to openness and building out the construction technology ecosystem. With the new connector, companies can automatically and securely sync files between Procore and SharePoint or Office 365, which will save time and confusion when managing project documents. It also creates better collaboration with the teams that are not in the construction space. Leveraging SharePoint’s API with Procore’s open system, this integration automates document sync, saving time and effort of updating two systems that tracks and reports documents. This integration allows everyone – from the owner to the general contractor – to have access to relevant documents needed to finish a project. “We’re excited for the SharePoint connector from HingePoint to launch on the App Marketplace as it will have an immediate impact for our users who will be able to take advantage of it,” said Laura Paciano, Senior Manager, Partner Programs, at Procore. “We first began talking with HingePoint about an integration at Groundbreak, which was just over five months ago, so for the connector to now be ready is a testament to their commitment to the construction industry and value of the App Marketplace.” HingePoint integrates software so data can move from one system to another. They specialize in building custom tools that detect and collect data, so a business can project trends about their business.
